This is an excellent display, given what it offers. I am a person who sticks to a brand that delivers high quality and is worth using for years. The monitors I prefer Sony, ViewSonic and HP. I have used Sony SDM S95DR LCD 19 inch screens for almost several years in the office. While Samsung does well in the display / screen, but somehow I have a negative feeling / experience on this label, and it can not be compared to brands like Sony. I got it for my personal from Micro Center ($ 208 including VAT) for domestic use and is just wonderful and save hell lot of space. I have reviewed this product on Amazon / Internet, and then thought about going for it.
Advantages:
1st Fantastic resolution 1920x1080p.
2nd No hassle to install the product. I am running Win 7 and installed the software CD came with the box.
3rd Ultra Thin confident in his race.
Fourth two HDMI ports, a VGA (D-Sub) port is located with the IN and OUT ports.
5th also like feature where you can place the screen as a picture frame. Just pull the handle slowly from the back and lay it on the table. No need to install the stand.
6th If the look: it's pretty good and professional look. I really do not like them, shiny girly frames.
Cons:
First it has built-in speaker, but volume is damn low on the high setting. But I do not care, I prefer separate speakers. That's why I took a star from the rating. But given an ultra-thin model that is what we should expect.
Additional Information:
If you use HDMI connection, is the couple menus disabled. Even if you feel your image that goes across the screen, then you might have to select HDMI input selection from the menus. Menus as Auto Image Adjust, and get more grayed-out/disabled with HDMI connection. It is behavior, not an error.
Also note that this is an LED-backlit LCD screen, although the title just say LED. I think you will not get a full point at this price.
The best selling on Amazon is ViewSonic VX2450WM compared to this, but VX2450WM has no HDMI, and it has 2 HDMI connections with a D-Sub and is extremely thin.
Update: July 1, 2011 - After four months
You can not rotate display after installing the stand. Not a disadvantage for me because I do not keep on changing the location of my screen. Because it's weight is very light, move / rotate, full screen mode is very easy. These are not the major CRT-like displays, where you really need them rotating display cases.
Crisp quality and save space, absolutely no problems so far. 100% recommended.
